How would you like it to be whacked hard over the head as a "sport"!?

Norway and Canada have a new kind of tourism. Killing baby seals. They call it a "sport"..

You want to call this a sport ?

Is he a sportsman?

Why?

You're our only hope !!!

This barbarism shouldnt be possible in our society..

Dont turn your back on us, we are defenseless

I know these images seem painful for you, but we feel the pain. We are being slaughtered and its going on RIGHT NOW...

What gives him the right to kill us? Who is he to decide about life and death?

What kind of sport is this? I didnt harm anyone. I was just swimming around..

Please help me and my friends...

You cant just ignore these images.. Keeping silent and doing nothing makes you guilty...

Please help us

Please dont leave us alone...

STOP THE KILLING OF SEALS

You can make a statement by
reposting this to get as many people as you can
to repost this.
Bring these murderers to the attention
of world leaders.
Thank you!!!!

hit reply to sender and copy it from there (if you dont the pictures wont show up when you post)

..

REPOST THIS.

Living creatures are suffering for your comfort.
If You pass on any chain mail, I hope you pass on this one.

No one cares about your middle name, or what you did in 2006 or stupid stories that involve killers in the night.

THEY ARENT REAL. GET OVER IT.
THIS IS.

This is wrong to the highest level. Please help spread awareness of the animals that go through testing. It is not right and should be stopped. The following images are of animals that have been used for consumer product testing. They are graphic.

If you have a heart you'll repost this.

IF YOU DONT REPOST MAYBE YOU NEED TESTING ON YOURSELF.

Hit reply then copy the codes

Now, being that I pride myself on my critical thinking skills I had the following to say about it:

I have a few problems with this. Which is why I'm not going to jump into reposting it before I do a little research, and if you can't answer my uncertainties about it I suggest you do the same before posting another similar bulletin. First off, where is the proof that the clubbing of the seals is a sport? I've never heard of it being referred to as a sport. I've heard of it as hunting which, yes I guess is a sport, but one that also has practical applications. For example, in the southern united states the wildcat population has dramatically decreased, and since these are the wild deer's only predators the wild deer population has grown out of control causing a lot of damage to the ecosystem. The hunting of these animals is necessary to preserve what's left of the natural order down there. Now, I don't know about the seal populations in the areas mentioned, perhaps it could be a similar situation, since I know a seals primary predator is the Killer whale, which we humans have hunted for their blubber to make a myriad of products, including lipstick. Also, in regards to the vivisection (animal testing) without these animals laying down their lives we wouldn't have some of the wonderful and amazing medical breakthroughs that we have had. FOr example, the medication i take that keeps my from hallucinating, the insulin that keeps my diabetic step-mother alive, the anti-depressants that keep my sister from cutting her body to shit, the prosthetic vision currently in development for curing blindness. Not to mention cures we don't yet have, animals right now are helping to find cures for AIDS, cancer, Alzheimer's, AIDS, diabetes, and oh yeah, did I mention AIDS? Now don;t get me wrong, I would l like to propose a solution to this, we'll call it, Amanda Brown's "Modest Proposal" : We take convicted criminals living on death row and use them for psychological and pathological testing. In this way, if they die in the process, well they were going to die anyway, right? Also, since nothing is closer to human biology than humans, test results would be more accurate and more conclusive, and, they probably deserved it. Not to mention, that if people FOUND OUT that that is what the punishment was these days you would DEFINITELY see a decline in crime rate.

However, since most (sane) Americans would NEVER go for this, it will sadly be just one of my dreams, and animals will continue to be sacrificed for a higher cause. Most of this is scare tactics and by the time it gets to you you, you've only seen what animal rights activists want you to see. Naturally for their campaign (because that's entirely what it is) they are going to show you only the worst of the worse, to tug at the heartstrings and use your emotions to sway you into believing their bullshit.

Also, what exactly was the point of the bulletin? All it does is get people angry, which would be a great unifying tactic, if it gave people a place to unite and or gave them an objective. It simply said to repost it, which only serves to make more people angry without giving them something to do about it. The least it could have done was linked to an online petition for the cause. This bulletin was pointless at best and only served to disgust and make angry, without anywhere to go with that outrage. Truly, based on this logic, I am led to believe that the only REAL point of this bulletin was to give (lazy) bleeding hearts a quick and easy way to feel good about themselves by believing they are doing something good for animals, when in all actuality all they have done was waste time, and server space.

You're smart, I know you are. Use that brain of yours before you blindly follow your emotions into the hands of people who would use you only to achieve THEIR agenda.

Sorry for the rant.

-xoxo, Mandy

tl;dr

One question. Would you rather there was no testing for potentially hazardous chemicals/makeups/dyes/etc prior to release to the market (this was done a while back), testing be done on animals that would give us a very good idea of how it would affect us, or would you rather test it directly on humans?

That question would have been answered if you had been bothered to read it:

"Now don;t get me wrong, I would l like to propose a solution to this, we'll call it, Amanda Brown's "Modest Proposal" : We take convicted criminals living on death row and use them for psychological and pathological testing. I meant tl;dr jokingly, luv. This copypasta is old and not very delicious.

Either way, the "Modest Proposal" suggests that certain humans are worthless. That their lives are ours to decide whether they are full of suffering, pain, etc. That is an extremely slippery slope. Once it is decided that death-row inmates are worthy of medical testing it is a short leap to non-death-row inmates (especially if a lot of people die..) Once it becomes standard that one part of our species is no longer worth the same rights as others...

...

Sieg Heil, anyone?

If they are sitting on DEATH row, wouldn't that already imply that we have decided their fate? That they ARE to die.

To die for their crimes, yes. To be subjected to suffering?

Death row is a long wait. The actual hand of death is a swift one and relatively painless (excepting death by electrocution).

As much as a hamster would suffer from testing - a human would suffer so much more. Hamsters have very tiny brains, small bodies - a human is capable of withstanding a lot more of everything. If 30 hamsters died, one human would probably still be there. Suffering. Blinded. Tortured. As I said, it is a very short leap to go from a death-row inmate to a regular inmate.

Again, when we start deciding that certain people are worthy of torture, Final Solutions aren't far off.
